Day 1: Scenic Rift Valley Drive & Afternoon Rhino Tracking

Depart Nairobi early in the morning in a custom-built 4x4 safari vehicle, driving northwest along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Stop briefly at the spectacular Great Rift Valley viewpoint to capture panoramic photos of the escarpment before descending toward Nakuru. Arrive at your luxury safari lodge inside Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, head out on an intensive game drive through the acacia forests and lake margins. This area is one of Kenya’s premier rhino sanctuaries; you will track both the endangered square-lipped white rhinos and the elusive black rhinos grazing along the plains, alongside herds of rare Rothschild’s giraffes and cape buffalos.
